Glenn Romig, P.E.,G.E., President/Senior Principal Engineer
Glenn founded the firm in 1994 with a focus on providing practical, cost-effective geotechnical solutions. He has 30 years broad experience in all phases of geotechnical engineering for commercial, residential and public projects. Glenn is intimately involved in almost all of our projects, establishing project workscopes and seeing that our recommendations and services are well thought out and most appropriate for each project. Richard Woodard, P.E.,G.E., Senior Principal Engineer
Richard has over 35 years of practical geotechnical engineering experience and has been a Principal Engineer at Romig Engineers since 2004. He has a well-respected reputation for developing practical, cost-effective solutions in geotechnical engineering, materials engineering and construction inspection that has directly contributed to the success of hundreds of local projects and clients. Richard is an invaluable resource and project manager for our geotechnical group and provides senior level support for our field group during project construction. Richard holds a B.S.C.E. from Tufts University and an M.S.C.E. in Geotechnical Engineering from U.C. Berkley.
Coleman Ng, P.E., Senior Project Engineer-Manager/Principal
Coleman has over 15 years of experience in geotechnical consultation and construction testing services in the San Francisco Bay Area. His experience includes projects for numerous school facilities for San Francisco and San Leandro Unified School Districts, hospital buildings, high rise buildings (including Moffett Gateway in Sunnyvale, Harbor View Place in Redwood City and 980 Folsom Street in San Francisco), commercial (including several Safeway Stores and numerous mixed-used buildings), high-end residential development, public facilities, water treatment plants, port pavement design/rehabilitation and existing pavement evaluation, slope stability and landslide remediation, creek bank improvements, small bridge structure, retaining wall, and etc. He holds a B.S.C.E. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from San Jose State University.
Jonathan Fone, P.E., Senior Project Engineer/Principal
Jonathan has been at Romig Engineers since 2009 and has over 6 years of experience in geotechnical engineering completing over 300 high-end residential projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area with a purchased price of up to $15 million. Jonathan manages projects from the initial proposal stage through the investigation and construction phases. His commercial projects include: Audi Showroom in Palo Alto, a 4-Story Mixed-Use Building in San Carlos, a 6-story Mixed-Use Building in San Francisco, a 75,000 s.f. Storage Facility in San Jose, a 29-Unit Residential Development in Mountain View, and a 36-Lot subdivision in Hayward. Jonathan has actively spearheaded company marketing and business development integrating customer relationship management software into the company and helped develop a powerful project resource tool within Google Earth. Tom Porter, P.E., Senior Project Engineer
Tom has been at Romig Engineers since 2006 and has over 11 years of experience in geotechnical engineering on over 100 commercial and over 400 high-end and smaller scale residential projects throughout the San Francisco Bay and Peninsula. His projects have included 217,000 to 430,000 s.f. multi-story office buildings/parking structures at the NetApp Campus in Sunnyvale, a 280,000 s.f. manufacturing facility in Fairfield, the CS Bio Inc. building expansion project in Menlo Park, the 110,000 s.f. Mercedes Benz Dealership facility in Palo Alto, the Rector-Audi building addition and renovation in Burlingame, the Woodside Priory School redevelopment project in Portola Valley, and the Home2 Suites Hotel complex project in Livermore. Tom manages projects from the initial proposal stage through the investigation and construction phases. He holds a B.S.C.E. and an M.S.C.E. in Geotechnical Engineering from San Jose State University.
Benoit Brisbois, Supervisory Field Geologist
Benoit supervises our construction observation and testing group and has over 12 years of experience at Romig Engineers. He is a primary contact for scheduling construction observation and testing. Benoit has broad geotechnical experience in all phases of construction from residential to large commercial developments in all parts of the Bay Area. He is a Certified Radiation Safety Officer for nuclear density gauges and holds a B.S. in Geology from University California, Davis.
